Clean place, quick service. All was good, I've been wanting to go here for a while. Chicken Roti was good. My daughter loved the Shrimp Curry dinner.

Hot fresh roti and spicy curry chicken. Very tasty. There is another location in Boston under the same name. I wonder if the two are related? Nice Trinidadian cuisine in Brooklyn that one must try if in the area.

This restaurant is the original Ali's in america, it's affiliated only with another in Fort Lauderdale I believe. The food here is excellent and just like the food back home.

I had a chicken roti and some curried chicken with rice the one time I went there around the middle of 2007. The food was ok but I guess my expectations were much higher after having read the reviews here. Maybe I was comparing them too much to the West Indian food from back home. I passed back a few times afterwards including around December 2010 but it was always closed. I don't know if I just ended up there at the wrong times or if it is actually closed for business.

Their curried chicken roti is what a good chicken roti is supposed to taste like. The stewed chicken is a little too sweet for my taste but either way, you can't go wrong for $5. For those who don't know, a "roti" is akin in size and weight to a burrito from Chipotle. Inside is curried meat, chicken or shrimp mixed with curried potatoes. This is wrapped inside a thin, soft roti (think pita) that has a layer of finely minced split peas cooked in between. It is eaten just like a burrito but novices have the option of unwrapping it. Never use a knife or fork though.

Their curry with dhal pouri (Trinidadians call it roti) is excellent. Goat, chicken, shrimp, beef, they're all delicious. Their polourie is also very good. The only downside is that there's always a long line, but that's how you know the food is good.

Prob the best five dollars you can spend in Brooklyn. Delicious food that will definitely fill you up. If you ask for pepper be ready for some serious spice. Generally a line but it moves quick, very limited seating. I've had the beef curry roti and chicken curry roti, both of which were great. I've also heard the goat is amazing. Look forward to my next visit here insha'Allah

Assalaamualaikum. Ali and his food are excellent. You won't see him during the 5 prayers because he is at Imam Siraj Wahhaj's masjid 1 block away but you can find him at the restaurant most other times. I stick to the shrimp roti because the others are too spicy for me but this is fresh, quality food with a nice mix of meat and vegetables in a roti for about $5. Ali also has various Caribbean drink like sea moss, sorrel, peanut punch and mauby along with Caribbean sweets. Take the A train to Nostrand or the C or S train to Franklin. Excellent, excellent restaurant to spend your money at.
