★☆☆☆☆ I flew from Detroit to Tokyo and it was one the worst food one can expect. With food, they have “Halal” water as well. I think someone fooled airline pretty good. Posted on September 13, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ I have flown business a few times with Delta and I am very disappointed with the food.
One time I was sat with a vegetarian and they had exactly the same meal as me! How lazy! Posted on March 10, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible. Requested halal meals for myself and family on flight from Detroit to Kuala Lumpur. On the leg from Detroit to Japan they did not have the meals even though I confirmed during check in. I complained in Japan and was given food vouchers but everything was closed at the time. I confirmed the meal selection again but they did not have the meals on the next leg to Malaysia. All I got was some mileage coupons. I have never and will never fly Northwest again. ★★★☆☆ I have once used NWA in 1999 from Amsterdam to Detroit. They offered the Kosher meal with meat, but no Halal menu. NWA is the worst airline in service even in USA so you can guess the service in international flights. It is not worth to ask of Halal meal at NWA. Posted on January 14, 2007 |

NR I thought the grilled Chicken on my flight from Gatwick to ATL was too salty. Posted on July 19, 2006 |

★☆☆☆☆ The first time I fly, I used Northwest. I was scared and alone. Now, whenever I fly, I will use this airline. 80% of the staff treat Muslims badly. They, however, will try to put on a friendly voice when you ask for stuffs. Food wise, they served the worst food. Flights from Tokyo-Singapore or Singapore-Tokyo do serve better food. Once you change your flights (Tokyo-US or US-Tokyo), your nightmare begins! Posted on April 22, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ I called Delta a few weeks before my flight and asked for a Muslim meal. Thus, I was given one on my flight. It consisted of grilled chicken with rice and some vegetables. Nothing spectacular, but it wasn't disgusting either. Posted on April 9, 2005 |

★☆☆☆☆ They forgot about our Halal meal. Flight attendant got nasty when I told him to take away the hot, steaming sausage away from the kids. He argued that I should at least let them eat the veggies, and I had to explain to him "not as long as there's pork sitting under their noses." I complained to the airline about this, in writing, but they never responded. Guess that's the last time we fly with Northwest. Posted on March 4, 2005 |

★★☆☆☆ Halal, kosher, vegetarian, lacto vegetarian (dairy) and asian vegetarian all result in the same thing, it seems, in the new airline economy of meals: one half of a (small) pita bread filled with cucumbers, onions and (if you're lucky) a slice of anemic tomato, served in some sort of "vinegrette" that smells more like nail polish remover -- UGH!. This is your meal.
Their service on international flights is much better but the domestic "meals" are terrible. I don't even bother anymore -- just bring my own food. Posted on November 19, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ I, my wife and 25 of our students flew from Paris France to SFO on NWA. No Halal meat! We just ate the desert and drank juice or water during the 10 hour-flight!
No coupons, no excuses but completely ignoring all our group! Posted on September 11, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ The halaal meal they served me is what has encouraged me to order kosher food instead! The sandwich shouldn't have been called one; pita with onions and a slice of a tomatoe, God knows how that is edible...if flying NWest, I highly discourage the halaal choice; vegetarian is even safer off! ★★★★☆ The travel agent had neglected to inform the airline of our request for a halal meal. The airline felt so bad for us that they gave me a food voucher to be used in the airport for $20 which i thought was very kind of them. In spite of this I thought the vegetarian meal was actually nicer than the kosher meal that my friend received. Posted on January 18, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ Their food does not really deserve to be called a meal. I was on a 14 hour flight also to Japan and they served cuscus with peaches. Just awful. Posted on January 6, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ One of the lousiest meals. Kus kus with apple sause for dinner. This was a common meal they use for vegetarian, muslim and diet. This was from Los angeles to Japan. Our kids still remeber kuskus with apple sauce F---.
NW did give us mileage coupons Posted on December 20, 2003 |
