★★★★★ Honestly, I had my reservations seeing how few reviews existed for this place. But, I was completely blown away by this fast food family style restaurant in downtown alameda. Like previous review, was at Oakland airport and saw this as the closest option. We tried 2 things: chicken cheese steak with criscutt fries and mantu. The mantu was spiced very nicely. Chicken cheese steak was not overly greasy, but just enough to know your eating fast food and the chicken was really good quality. Price is average food is great. Would definitely come back when we are in the Oakland area again. Posted on April 16, 2016 |

★★★★★ Landed at Oakland airport, pulled up this App, did a quick search, got to Q's Halal Chicken in 12 mins.... And was pleasantly surprised.
Location is excellent, outside seating area is refreshing (I'm from Chicago). Food was excellent, presentation was very good. Portion size was perfect (actually a lot). Price is fair, not cheap. The brother behind the counter was nice as well. The Islamic Center of Alameda is 10 mins away. So Alhamdulillah Allah is making it easy for me to follow his guidance. Pls pray for me :) Posted on April 27, 2015 |

★★★★★ Hubby claims these are the best burgers in the Bay Area and our Arab-American friend claims that they have the best falafel she's ever tried. Every single thing I sampled here was EXCELLENT -- so juicy and flavorful, masha'Allah. I love that the restaurant is located in such an adorable neighborhood (not the usual case w halal restaurants unfortunately). It's right across the street from the 1930's Alameda Theatre (which plays contemporary movies now) and is walking distance to trendy boutiques, bookstores, ice cream parlors, and coffee shops. The ambience is wonderful! I told hubby that THIS is where I wanna come to on Date Night from now on -- there's so much to do within a few blocks! As far as the restaurant itself, I really appreciated the attn to detail within the establishment -- like fresh flowers in the planter boxes and sliced lemon and cucumber in the water dispenser. Very nice touches! The employees were friendly and the chef facilitated our prayer by cheerfully making room for us in the tiny office so that we could offer our Maghrib prayer (one by one). We will most def be back, insha'Allah. Wishing the ppl behind Q's Halal Chicken much success, insha'Allah! Posted on October 28, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Nice spot across the Alameda Theatre. We tried the tandoori wings, shami plate, falafel, hummus, and the Q burger (which basically is the same seasoned meat as the shami). I was not overly impressed by the meal, but still rank it as above average because the food was fresh, and the Muslim workers behind the counter were especially nice and friendly. If in Alameda, stop by and support. Posted on May 25, 2014 |

★★★★☆ The service here was slow, but the food was tasty. Some blonde lady that ordered the same dish after me was served before me. My dish came soon afterwards but I abhor bad customer service. The chicken kabob was juicy. The rice cooked perfectly and served buttery. The cilantro chutney was good and not spicy at all. The yogurt sauce was just right. The salad was nice and crisp and served undressed. The chicken tikka massala was overly creamy and bland. The price was a little on the high side but the quality was good. Posted on May 27, 2013 |
