★★★☆☆ went to this place based on their online menu and the reviews and also because it was relatively close to the mall and on the way back to canada. their online menu boasts and wide variety of foods including cold subs. however when i went there and tried to order the subs, one of the employees looked at me like he didn't know what i was talking about and then handed me a completely different menu with only indo-pak foods. i was a bit disappointed but decided to try their nihari which wasn't on their menu but got rave reviews online. i had that with 2 naan, an order of chicken kabob dinner, 1 bottle water and 1 chai. all came up to about $28 which i thought was a bit steep considering you can go to a buffet also in buffalo and get a lot more food with more variety of dishes for around the same price! the nihari tasted good but gave me some bad stomach problems after. and the chicken kabob was pretty good, soft and tender. but the rice had a weird taste that i didn't like. overall the place is not much to look at but kept clean. there is a prayer area and sink which is awesome. no bathroom unfortunately and their grocery section is quite limited. we had to wait a while for the food so it's better to call ahead but i don't think i'll be coming back here. ★★★★★ Great food and very friendly staff with excellent customer service. We tried different chicken orders, chicken wings and lamb chops. Everything was tasty and fresh specially the wings. Both the biryani and white rice tasted delicious. The food is halal. We liked the food a lot and definitely will go back to try the other items on the menu. I really recommend it to everyone and to try to promote for them as much as we can . Not many halal places in buffalo serve tasty food like them. Posted on July 8, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ This place looks promising. It is a located near Downtown, a slight commute from the burbs but might be well worth the trip. The chef described the food that he can prepare on order and my appetite increased. I just hope they stay consistent in the preparation of food, which is an issue with other local halal/desi restaurants. I also hope they maintain the menu, again stay consistent, another issue with local halal/desi places.
I ordered wings to go! The chef gave me a couple of samples of the wings and a nice full plate of chicken and rice out of courtesy. Very delicious! The chef and employee were very friendly and welcoming! This is a rare thing around here.
Update 7/13/15 - Do not cook food after 5pm, leaving whatever they have left over for customers. Not very good! Posted on July 13, 2015 |
