★★★☆☆ I love to try new eateries around town! I am also excited that new immigrants are opening businesses and creating jobs! These new citizens bring their unique tastes and flair to the city. I want Shawarma City to survive, not just because it is close to my residence but because it is about people trying to get something going. I ordered two chicken shawarma entrees and one shawarma beef entree to take out. The portion amount is decent for the price.
The positive: You get hummus and a little bit of salad.
The negative: The chicken was too plain, needs some spices to jazz it up. Perhaps some onion and tomato. The beef was shaved off a slab and was a little dry.
The entrees did not include pita bread or better yet sumoon. Must include this!
One other note, the sauces that the woman gave me included Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, and Tarter sauce? Not exactly the sauces that you expect with this type of cuisine. They should include Tahini sauce and hot sauce (home made).
EDIT 1-10-16 - Tried this place for the 2nd time and they were out of certain entrees. They made up for that but the food was not as good. Posted on January 10, 2016
