★★★★★ I have been coming to Stax for many years now and I highly recommend it. Some other reviews talk about wait times and slow service, I will warn you that this is a small restaurant and in a very busy area. So you might have a wait. But the staff are always amazing and it is so great to get access to halal food like this in a really nice environment. I recommend it highly and find the time to try it all! ★★★★☆ Food Had the waffels and chicken, was really nice combination, the chicken. Had a small portion of fried prawns i think ina basket. It was really made nicely but just more expensive than one would expect. Milk shake Had the chocolate milkshake was a bit watered down, stick to the food. Staff are always nice and welcoming. ★★★☆☆ I was expecting quite a lot of this place, thinking it would be just like a classic American diner. The menu was relatively small, but it had the basics like burgers, chicken, and shakes. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a basket of fries. The fries were quite good, but I was disappointed with the burger. It was cooked well, but I actually didn't like the bacon on it (it's maple-flavored and sweet, and I'm not a fan of mixing sweet and savory). It was also quite expensive for what you got. ★☆☆☆☆ I've been to Stax Diner twice on a Friday night now and will never go again. Worst dining experience ever. Sat at a table for over an hour waiting for our food, after which point, people who had turned up half an hour after us were served first with almost the same burgers ordered as ours. This was despite me reminding staff twice that we still had not been served our food, all they could say in the end was sorry, so I walked out, they have no idea how to handle a busy crowd, absolutely hopeless, never again! ★★★★★ wow!!!! This place is truly amazing. I've been looking for decent halal burgers for years and I've never been able to get anywhere close to the types of burgers my non-muslim friends eat. I went there with a couple of friends this week who aren't muslim and they too agreed that the burgers were the best they had eaten. The shakes and desserts are great too.
