The menus at this restaurant clearly state that Halal food is served. From the management: 'Meat supplier is Certified Zabeeha Halal by Halal Food Council of Canada. Halal Certificate available upon request.'

★★☆☆☆ I've been here before so naturally I chose this for my birthday dinner with friends. And MAN was it ever disappointing, almost insulting! We had a reservation for a group of 8 people and they were cribbing about not having everyone there even though 4 of us were there. There were all 8 of us in half an hour of our reservation time. While the food was good enough and service timely, the waiter seemed like he'd rather die than serve us. On top of that was the manager's attitude. He was upset about the fact that we were there for an hour and a half. REALLY??? It's not like we're getting free samples. We did for the dinner and tipped as well so why the attitude and impatience? There were 8 of us of course and six of us paid $15.50. So that's $93 for an hour and a half...I'd say they earned as much as a programmer does. And yes, I'm referring to the Rexdale location. The Thorncliffe location is MUCH MUCH better in terms of service and attitude. The food was okay this time. I could tell chicken and beef and shrimp apart but the chicken didnt have to taste like it was half cooked only. Also, why the deuce is the crispy beef sweet? It wasn't on the desert menu so why sweeten the beef? My friend got food poisoning the next day because of the chicken. Posted on July 25, 2016 |

★★☆☆☆ Only if they didn't serve alcohol, they would've gained a lot more business from the muslim community, food 3/5, alcohol makes them lose Halal ratings Posted on November 7, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ I am compelled to create an account and review after seeing great reviews here and having a terrible experience at the restaurant.
The hot and sour soup was great, but their main dishes are full of incredibly low-grade, tasteless, and fat-filled chicken. We couldn't tell the difference between the chicken chilli with gravy and the szechuan chicken - both were equally bland. That's despite the fact that we don't eat particularly spicy foods and prepare Chinese dishes at home. We literally left our dishes as they were on the table. It was a terribly experience.
The customer service also appears to be rushed. The waitress insisted that the fatty chicken was coated flour without understanding that the chicken itself was low-grade.
I have no idea why there are good reviews in this restaurant or why it was full upon arrival.
If you're looking for bland main dishes in an odd location with limited service and poor quality ingredients, this is your place to go. Posted on August 20, 2013 |

NR The reason that they serve alcohol should be enough reason for any Muslim not to eat there. Plus I wouldnt trust chinese with halaal food. Posted on November 25, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Food is ok but appearance and cleanliness needs a change. It's a little tight in space too.

★★★☆☆ I usually have take outs at Faileys you will be lucky to sit in on weekends the wait is long to dine in..food are strictly halal 99% CUSTOMERS ARE DESI,,,1 thing i find unsatisfactory is to pay 25 cents for a voil of chilli pepper..which is a shame to be called a perect customer oriented place.
