Four simple words comprise the Kababery mission statement: Passion to Serve. But a mission statement is worthless if it's not supported by action, and this one definitely is! Kababery is a moderately priced, full service restaurant providing unique Mediterranean fusion restaurant and Kabab (Kebab or Kabob) cuisine in a contemporary, neighborhood bistro setting. The owner has a passion for award winning kabab list that compliments the cuisine and offers a unique selection of Kababs from around the world at a great value. Attentive, upbeat service is given to customers who dine with Kababery in their main dining room, European-styled patio and private dining area. Thus, customers feel like Kababery is their neighborhood restaurant where a consistent staff ensures guests will have consistently great food in a warm and friendly environment. ★★★★★ Excellent Food! The place is called Kababery now and it is under new management. I have noticed some changes already. The place looks cleaner and the staff is really nice. They are in the process of renovating the place.
I have come here many times because I live nearby and my personal favorites are the lamb gyro platter, chicken shish kabob platter, and lamb chops. The cream rolls and Baklava are out of this world! Everything is reasonably priced too! I will be coming here for a long time Posted on November 9, 2014 |

★★★★☆ The chicken chapli kabab was good. The american food is not worth it. The burger had a weird taste like it was a frozen boxed patty and the zynger burger was nothing special either. I would stay away from the American food here but go for the desi stuff. Posted on December 22, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ The food is great and quite tasty, but the portions are really small now. I used to come here a lot but stopped due to the girl at the desk. Her attitude is what drove me away. When I ordered salad only with my mixed gyro platter (over the phone), she gave me a spoonful of gyro on top of an entire plate of rice. When I returned to the store the next time and mentioned this, she rudely interrupted me and asked if I wanted to place an order or not. I left the store promptly and have not been back ever since. ★★☆☆☆ I went to this restaurant based on the ratings and I am extremely disappointed. How does everyone rate a place. Like another reviewer mentioned, there tables and chairs where not clean at all and had grease all over them. Service was slow. The food for half our group came out first and we were assuming that the rest of the groups food would follow shortly. The first group waited 20 minutes before everyone else got their food. This was on a day when it was empty. The person on the grill does not know how to grill. Everyone's Kabab's were burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. I would never come back here. ★★★☆☆ I read the good reviews and was hoping for a memorable trip but alas... The tables were full of grease but that is to be expected from a greasy food joint. There is no question that the TASTE of their food was good. The rice was cooked and seasoned well. The grilled meat was dry/chewy and little overcooked for me but I am sure they can adjust that per your preference. However, what really disappointed me was the SMALL portion sizes. We paid $20 for a mixed platter and it was not something you would share (unless you ate an appetizer and desert). $4 for one chapli kabab? They did give us extra rice later on when they sensed our disbelief. A little more generosity on their part could go a long way. Posted on April 22, 2013 |

★★★★★ The flavor enhancer used at this restaurant is BARAKAH!!! Definitely it was fresh and tasty. Friendly service, too. Now it is my No. 1 favorite neighborhood eatery. Posted on January 21, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ This restaurant is more like a fast food joint. Order food at the counter. Food was served in plastic plates and tap water was served in foam cups upon request. Quality and quantify of food is average. There is another better Afghani Fusion joint in the neighborhood, which we like compare to this. Will prefer to go there. Posted on December 30, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ I went with my family last week for the first time. My brothers ordered the cheesesteaks (one was chicken) and my dad ordered a burger -- they all enjoyed their food. My mom and I ordered the chicken kebab and found it to be not very appetizing. Posted on April 11, 2012 |

★★★★★ I have been to this place more than 4 or 5 times and everything my experience has been great. The food is really delicious and freshly made. The service is extra ordinary. The staff working there is very cordial and inviting. They make sure you are completely satisfied with the food and services. I have taken my cousins, my aunt, my grandmother and my husband to this place and everyone just loves it. I wish them all the best and much success. Posted on January 18, 2012 |

★★★★★ Another new restaurant in Central Jersey, which is showing up in North Jersey which may cause confusion. Afghan Kebab & Grill has a large menu with a lot of good items. They just dont have afghani entrees, they also have a lot of good american food. Burgers, cheesesteaks, and gyro platters that all hit the spot. Some items one must order there are their Heavenly Burger (it has swiss and american cheese, beef patty, and a large onion ring), Chicken Cheesesteak, and their Mix Gyro Platter. There is also a lot of seating, one can comfortably bring their family here and enjoy dining in. Posted on January 9, 2012 |

★★★★★ My husband and I went to this restaurant today and we had a great experience. We both had the Chapli kabab platter which was delicious and very nicely presented. It came with very generous portions of kabab, rice and salad. We are looking forward to our next visit there, which will be very soon. Posted on December 25, 2011 |
