The Meat & Wine Company |

Ariel Way, Hammersmith & Fulham, Greater London W12 7GA
With a name like "Meat & Wine Company", Muslims may feel the need to stay away from this place, but you do so at your own peril Located in Unit 1026, Westfield London, this is part of an international group of steakhouse restaurants and has worked closely with partners in the Middle East to develop a Halal menu of dishes, expertly prepared with a range of meat products basted in their unique trade secret basting, and cooking until consistently tender, juicy and full of flavour every time. They do not use alcohol in any of their sauces or prepared dishes, and all Halal products are cooked separately from non-Halal products. They have even created a non-alcoholic basting sauce which is made and flown in from South Africa especially for Halal guests. Added on April 21, 2010 and last updated 12 years ago

★★★☆☆ In all fairness this place is a bit over rated, with its casual finish and food that is nice but not exquisite, one can only rate this a 3, the last experience was pretty bad from the three visits I've had here, each time I have knocked it down a rating as the food simply isn't as good as the price you pay for it.
Also the idea of a shared bathroom is weird and unpleasant. Posted on November 18, 2015 |

★★★★★ Best steaks in UK!! All other asian owned places haven't got a clue about cuts of meat!halal menu is cooked seperatly, a very nice place, not your average crappy steak houses like the ones in birmingham. Had an amazing 700gm t-bone, the place to be if you want a good steak Posted on May 9, 2012 |

★★★★☆ the service was possibly the best that I have seen in a restaurant but it comes at a price a meal for 2ppl came to £120 , with regards to the t- bone steak i would say it is on par with steakout so nothing great about it especially when it cost £40 Posted on December 17, 2011 |

★★★★★ Incredible food. I've put that there is alcohol served on the premises but there is a separate Halal seating area where no alcohol is allowed and they have a separate Halal menu so in this area only Halal food is served. Food is specialised on steaks and beef and tell you on the menu the sources of their meat and poultry. They provide Halal certificates on request. The food is incredibly good, cooked perfectly. Staff are very helpful and know the menu inside out (very much like a US establishment). Gets very busy so book. Restaurant is a stones throw away from Shepards Bush underground station, it's also part of Westfields shopping centre so parking is free which is a real bonus in London. ★★★★★ Stunning food, separate halal seating, menu and drinks. The mosquito is so nice! Steaks and burgers are magnificent, starters of wings were also great and desert was very nice too. Gets busy so book ahead. Not that pricey for London. Free parking in Weatfields and 3min walk from Shepards Bush station. Great service too. Also provide certificates on request so wry transparent, and menu tells you source of meat and poultry. Very nice venue too. Posted on November 25, 2011 |

★★★★☆ We decided to go for the T-Bone and Rib-eye cuts, both well-done, but perhaps should have gone for medium-well. Anyhow, the steak was delicious and despite the steep price, it will be somewhere we will visit for a special occasion. Posted on July 6, 2011 |

★★★★★ By far the best steak in town. Lovely decor and plenty of space which makes it kid friendly too. Posted on February 27, 2011 |

★★★★★ At present, I would say this is the best steak house in London and has top quality beef and cooked and served to perfection and the peppercorn sauce is one the best I have ever had. Try the fillet steak its to die for! The decor is beautiful and and chic but the open fire gives a lovely homely atmosphere. The non-alcoholic cocktails are very nice. Its definately a place to save for special occasions and is quite pricey - overall £50- 60 / head. Remember to tell the staff you want halal and they will point out the types of beef that are halal and will give you alcohol-free basting. Posted on April 21, 2010 |
