The owners of this market are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status. Only the Boar's Meat brand of meat they sell is not halal, everything else is halal.

★★★★☆ This review is not for the grocery store but the little deli/cafe that they have in the back of the store.......... and this little hole in the wall cafe inside a grocery store blows away the big, bad and fancy Caspian Persian restaurant next doors by a mile. Awesome taste, quality and quantity. I am a big fan of their rotisserie Chicken, their juicy kababs and plethora of rice dishes. I have family and friends from all over who like Persian food to this place and they all were pleasantly surprise by how good their food was. Posted on April 23, 2018 |

★★★☆☆ A word of caution when buying any packaged food. They have tons of Israeli items in their store. Please read the label before buying anything. I bought a box of wafers which ended up being from Israel, even though the brand was 'Sadaf'. Other than that this is a fairly decent Persian grocery store in the heart of Irvine. ★★★★★ Great selection of produce at cheaper prices than your normal grocery store. Plus they sell halal gyros, ribs, rotisserie chicken, and even a hamburger. Their halal meat is good and affordable too. I shop here a lot and enjoy their variety of products. I believe that the only thing that's not halal is the boar's head brand that they sell, but the meat from the butcher shop and food cafe are all halal. Posted on July 3, 2014 |

★★★★★ For a grocery store carrying all your essentials, this is a pretty nice place. It is convenient considering you can literally get all your groceries here from meats, spices, fruits/vegetables, to cooking utensils and other miscellaneous items (usually foreign in one way or another). NR the have pork items - how can it be zabihah place? this is very odd. grocery market section is good though. Al-Huda meat market on Brookhurst and the I-5 freeway is the place to go for zabihah meat. Posted on April 6, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Nice place. Most meats are halal. However, veals are non-halal. There may be a few other items which may not be halal. They have tags for each item showing if it is halal or not. Also, this is one of the rare plaes where you can buy different cuts of meat rather than only chops or ground beef. Quality in general is above average. Posted on May 5, 2004 |

★★★★★ I love this place, their prices are wonderful as well as their service. They have labeled which meats are halal and not halal now and that makes me even more confident when buying meat there. I shop here every week and they are always packed with customers. Posted on November 5, 2003 |

★★★★☆ The prices are very cheap in almost all items. The quality of the service is certainly above the average. They claim themselves to be selling halal meat. However they are processing and selling halal and non halal meats on the same counter. Also, the non halal meats are shown in the same refrigerator next to halal meats and you might mix which one is halal ot not if you do not be careful. Posted on December 26, 2002 |

★★★★☆ This is one of the best halal markets around, and has a lot of middle eastern foodstuff. They have a very large halal meats section with everything under the sun. It is also one of the only halal markets in Irvine. Posted on August 11, 2000 |
