Our story is a gastronomic journey from the street food of India to the fishing villages of Thailand with a stopover in the traditional Trattorias of Italy then on to China. We’ve travelled through these countries, meeting great chefs, learning fantastic recipes and traditional cooking techniques. We’ve perfected the use of incredible aromatic spices and herbs combined with fresh ingredients to create dishes that evoke the country of origin. Take a bite, shut your eyes and your palate will transport you around the globe. Watch our chefs prepare dishes at the Live Cooking Stations including the Wok Station (watch out for the flames!), The Grill and The Tandoori Oven for a true masterclass in authentic cuisine. Fish lovers will love our Friday nights when we cook more seafood dishes than normal. Saturday night’s when we focus on grills and roast duck and Sundays too are extra special with the addition of Roasts. But whenever you visit Kitchin you’ll get a mouth-watering selection of global dishes and a warm welcome. Remember you can enjoy as much as you like for one set price! ★★★☆☆ When I first tried this restaurant in 2010 my impression was “excellent”. I had dinner here again last night after 8 years and I would say now it is just like an ordinary restaurant. The quality of food as well as number of items both went down. Though some items were well cooked but the majority had same taste like you found in large buffet restaurants. In the same amount of money one can eat in a better restaurant. I do not Kan to return. Posted on June 22, 2018 |

★★★★★ I dined at this establishment last Saturday night with my family. After carrying out a google search, we came across this place in Kings Cross and there were good reviews from all over. It also turned out to be an international buffet restaurant. I am a big fan of the buffet concept and the main problem most buffets face is they cook en masse, a lot , and this normally affects the quality and taste of the food. We decided to give it a go anyway. I then made reservations.
Parking was not too difficult, as there is plenty of street space all over King's Cross.
First impressions - The restaurant was colourfully lit from the outside. As soom as we entered we realised it was a really big place. A kitchen was in the centre of the room, tasty looking food was placed all around in trays. it looked really attractive. Upon closer inspection, we noticed tht there were also live stations cooking chinese stir fry, indian curries and fresh naan from a Tandoor and a continental chicken and beef grill.
After ordering some soft drinks, we made our way to the starter section which features tasty bites from all over the world. Bread and minestrone soup as well. The chinese and thai section featured fried noodles, fried rice, green curry chicken, sweet sour chicken, stir fried beef in oyster sauce and many more items. We then moved on to the italian creamed chicken, pasta, pizza. They had a massive smoked salmon on that night, it was very tasty. A long line of salads were available on a chilled counter, offering oysters and shrimp. At this stage I realised that this was actually closer to a hotel buffet than a mid priced restaurant. We were really getting full at this stage so we decided to have dessert. The dessert counter items were clearly made right there, just like everything else. The belgian flan was incredible as was the apple cobbler.
We had probably only managed to taste half the food available, so we've already made plans to return soon. The bill was very reasonable, around £20 per person including a soft drink. I'd say this is one of the best places i've dined in years and that includes the reasonable prices. Posted on April 8, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Very good restaurant with halal multicusine food. However, the variety and choice seems to have come down since I last visited, on 2010. However, it is still very good value for money lunch buffet, £8.99! Posted on March 15, 2012 |

★★★★☆ This is a buffet restaurant with a huge selection of different cuisines - thai, indian, italian, chinese. They have a Wok station where you can pick ingredients and get the chef to cook it. I went in a party of 5 and went quite late on a weekday- got there after 9.00PM. Most of the food was finishing and they didnt bring out a huge amount of fresh food. But that said the food was good. They even have their own ice cream machine which put a huge smile on my face. Price for buffet was 14.99 GBP so not that cheap but good enough. Just wish I was hungrier! Posted on January 20, 2011 |

★★★★☆ This place is quite unique as it offers four different cuisines. The website mentions that all meat it Halal. I personally don't believe that crayfish and prawns are Halal, which are both served here.
As far as a buffet goes, the food here is really good. Of course all items are not the best, but there is such a wide variety to choose from. Starters, mains, sides and deserts! They have a good variety of deserts and for that little bit extra they even have sweets!
The best thing about Kitchen N1 is being able to see some of your food being cooked in front of you at the wok station, just choose your own combination of ingredients! You can even have fresh naan bread made in minutes.
The atmosphere here is very nice and its very spacious so doesn't look likely to get overcrowded. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Prices can be found on their website. I think its very cheap for what your getting and the drinks don't cost much extra! Posted on March 20, 2009 |
