★★★★★ I want you to pick a metric. Cleanliness? Service? Food? They do not disappoint. This place is one of two reasons the city of Long Beach gets a visit from me. If they moved 20 miles north, you'd have eaten here.
The service comes from hardworking pros. They do it fast, they do it right, and they do it with a smile. They keep the wide-open room clean, well-lit, and stocked with two flatscreens locked into ESPN news or sports. You sick of desi restaurants with some Indian chick lip-synching high pitched drivel you don't understand? Don't worry, you won't have to deal with that here.
As for the food, full disclosure: I've eaten only one entree: 3-Way Chicken Kabobs. It comes with a side of perfectly cooked green beans and garlic potatoes. There's also a salad with delightful slivers of ripe strawberries. A + for the attention to detail on that salad, by the way.
And then, for the love of God and all that is holy, there is chicken served over some basmathi rice from your mum's kitchen. The chicken is an experience. It is poultry without limitations. It is the moment between my heartbeats. I would travel for it like Imam Ahmed seeking out a hadith. I love it.
The Garlic naan has never disappointed. It always has a light char and chewy center, an Indian pretzel that wasn't dunked in water.
They're not stingy about napkins, soda, or anything. They clearly want you to enjoy your meal, and enjoy your meal you shall. I love this place so hard that my only knock on it is the location. Come on, man. Long Beach? Posted on July 30, 2013 |

★★★★☆ the food was very good and better than expected
service was excellent and the dishes were not at all too spicy or oily. I would recommend their garlic naan which were excellent.

★★★★☆ I went there for the first time last week and was quite impressed to see the restaurant itself as it was unlike most of the desi places very well kept and tastefully decor'd.
Cant say about the menu as it was my first time but variety do look sumptuous so will go back again.
The manager also unlike other desi restaurant was very polite and friendly and kept the check on the needs all along my stay.
Over all good experience. Posted on May 19, 2011 |
