From a reader: I was given assurance this is a Halal restaurant by a local halal butcher and another Muslim brother en route to this place (asking for directions). To confirm I asked this brother if this restaurant is Halal, initially he said "yes" and then said "this is what the restaurant person told me and Allah knows best". I asked if the restaurant person is Muslim, and he told me, "yes, he attends the mosque here" (Islamic Cultural Center of Madrid). On going to this restaurant, I recognised one of the members of the restaurant from the Mosque, who was later in a rush to go pray Esha Salaat. When I entered this restaurant I asked the staff if the food is Halal and I was told it is and that they serve no alcohol (Alhumdulillah). I have seen many restaurants in Madrid which say they offer Halal food but also serve alcohol (which for me puts doubt on the authenticity of their Halal food).
