★★★★★ I always go there during Ramadan to get their $9.99 iftar box for one. As a revert, I’m alone during iftar so I don’t have a family to order a bunch of full sized portions with so it makes me happy to get a taste of everything just for me. Posted on August 22, 2018 |

|
★☆☆☆☆ Please check your order before existing their shop. Yesterday I ordered naans and they packed me whole wheat naans, crispy like rusks and heated in microwave. I went their few times in past but yesterday was the last time ever.... Posted on April 2, 2016 |

★★★★☆ It's a decent Pakistani option around Winston Churchill. The ownership has changed, new person seems to be a bit greedy and has raised the prices. Snacks are better than food. Biryani is not good. Posted on August 7, 2015 |

★★★★☆ This is a take out place owned and operated by a Pakistani family. Bun kabab was truly delicious and yummy. Biryani was ok. Qeema naan was also very good. Many more Pakistani dishes on a reasonable prices. I would go back there for nihari, paya and brain masala soon. Posted on May 16, 2015 |

★★★★★ I was visiting from MI a couple of weeks ago in TO and a friend of mine took me to Zeerah craving about their Bun Kababs saying that they were truly Pakistani style. I Must say I was impressed with the food. It had the right amount of spice and full of flavor and taste.
Would definitely recommend to give it a try. Posted on December 3, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Been here a few times reluctantly.
>food is pricy
>flavour is not there
>wait times are too long
>not sure why people go back
Will not be returning here. Posted on October 21, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ This place is extremely expensive for the quality and quantity of food they offer. Biryani was a huge disappointment though their rolls are good. Posted on September 7, 2013 |

|
★★★☆☆ Their Nihari possibly the best in West end and Bun Kabab's are just like back home. But Ya Allah the $$$ he's charging :O
I'm sorry I understand the cost of operations but really you want to charge me how much for a bun kabob?
The crowd still comes but it's just a matter of time solid competition hits that area. That should bring owner to reality to adjust is $$$ Posted on June 6, 2013 |

★★★★★ One of my friend recommended this place to me a while ago and I am thankful that he did. Uptil now I have tried Bun kababs, Nihari, Bihari Kababs, Nans, Haleem, all are amazingly good. There Shahi Tukras are awesome. The kheer can only be compared with the ones they make in the weddings receptions back home.
They have a largest variety of Bun Kababs and kabab rolls.
Highly recommended Posted on April 18, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I went to this takeout place for the first time.
The food was average, but he price was for dine-in.
I wasn't expecting to pay that much for a place were they only do takeout.
I would save the money if you plan on going with family and want a sit-in place. This is not the joint to go to.
You can get better food for the same price at other places.
Save your money. Posted on April 16, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Zeerah has been in business for long while now, I stopped going after being dissapointed by the dishes I ordered, and now after 5 years. A friend advised me to check them out again, as the food has improved. I was sorely mistaken, one would think a take out restaurant for Pakistani/Indian cuisine would master the all famous Biriyani. Lets just say, it was the worst Biriyani I've ever attempted to eat. They need to seriously re-think their recipes/ food pricing and service. Posted on March 31, 2013 |

★★★★☆ For a small take-away they make some really good food. Their Bun kababs are very good so as their kabab rolls. The Bihari kabab and Beef boti are my favourites.
The Nihari is better than most of the places in Toronto.
Haleem is very good.
Dal Tarka is my other favourite.
Over all a very good place to take food.
Highly recommended. Posted on March 17, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Food is way expensive, it's takeout food for the price of dine in (or higher), orders are almost never ready on time. There are far better venues in the area for better food and service which aren't a rip. Also, my sister once found a hair in her bihari kabab. Posted on March 5, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Nihari is amazing. Naans could be better. Posted on December 2, 2012 |

★★★★★ I have been going to this place for sometime now and have tried:
Nihari, Haleem, Bunkababs, Bihari kababs, Dal tarka, Qeema Nans, Biryani, etc.
Nihari: The best Nihari I have ever tasted.
Haleem: No one makes better than Zeerah.
Bun Kababs: truly just like originals.
Bihari Kababs: Unique taste, very tender.
Dal tarka: just like my mother used to make.
Qeema Nans: very good
Mutton Biryani: a must try.
Shahi Tukra: I loved them.
when it comes to taste and quality, price doesn't bother me. Posted on October 7, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ A bit pricy, I tried their kaba rolls, taste ok, and still pricy, Did I say they are pricy?
Tried their weekend nashta of halwa puri and cholay, WOW , taste great, impressive, and surprise not pricy :D
I will come again for weekend nashta, other stuff I will pass unless I am in a bind.
Average rating cause other places have better nashta but they are 25 min drive for me, Posted on September 12, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Good service and decent food, but costly. I am comparing prices to Silverspoon. $8 for Kabab roll is way too overpriced. Especially since the size is small. Posted on August 26, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Small takeout place but amazing bun kebabs. Same taste as street vendors of Karachi. Posted on August 12, 2012 |

★★★★★ I am a regular visitor at Zeerah.
I love the Bun kababs, Bihari rolls, Halwa puri on the weekends and Nihari. Posted on May 25, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Have had their halwa puri 5 times over the last 4 months. The Quantities have decreased steadily so a point that it does not cover for one person. I usually get full with one puri so you can imagine how much the qty have reduced. In general south Asians are not know to deliver customer service but these guys one of the worst customer service. We have decided to not go anymore. Posted on April 23, 2012 |

★★★★★ I have tried all the Kabab rolls they have to offer and all are up to the mark. Very good service too; but a little bit pricey but quality and taste is awesome. Definitely recommend to all out there who love to have good rolls. Posted on December 28, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately Zeerah wasn't upto my expectation. The taste & quality of the food such as Chicken Biryani & Chicken boti roll was bland & not at all anywhere close to what i have tasted elsewhere.
Infact Me & My wife literally had to reluctantly throw it away. Prices are pretty high up there.
I have no problem paying the price but no compromise on quality...! Posted on December 22, 2011 |

★★★★★ Got this year's Eid catering done from Zeerah( never tried before but highly recommended by two of my very good friends). This was our first time here; We had Vegetable biryani, Chicken Karahi ( specifically asked for special Karachi chicken Karahi) Fried fish, veal Qorma, shami kababs, beef boti tikka, and shahi tukra.
I must tell you that the menu was expensive but when we got the food it was quite a lot and believe me we had to eat the left over for two days.
The quality of each and every item was unremarkable and and it was unusual for me and for my guests.
All the items were taste great. I have never tasted such Chicken Karahi any where else in GTA. Shami kababs were so delicious seems like my wife herself made them.( since then she never made shami kababs at home; we always gets from Zeerah). Qorma reminded me the taste of Shadi qorma.
Overall, it was very good experience and Zeerah is on the top of my list now.
Thank You zeerah. Posted on September 23, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Sept 5th 2011
Got catering done for a Eid get together this year and as usual food was pricey.. Wasn't too impressed with the serings.. the butter chicken gravy was Shorba like and not thick gravy like it should be... The Chicken Palough rice was very sticky and gooey like and the rice was not cooked to perfection as it should...
On a separate occasion we had tried their Nihaari and it was AMAZING.. A MUST TRY...
Sept 17th 2010
I'd say for a Takeaway it's a a little PRICEY.
As for quality of the food it's Splendid!!! Posted on September 5, 2011 |

★★★★★ Last weekend we had our catering done from this new place called Zeerah. I was a bit nervous since this is a new place and this was my first catering from here. But my wife's friend was speaking very high about this place. So we thought to give it a try.
We finalized the menu with the Zeerah a week ago.
On Saturday I had all the friends at my place during the IIFA awards. We picked the food from Zeerah.
Chicken Biryani
Bihari Kababs
Nihari
Tandoori Chicken
and Mutton Karahi.
Naans
Zarda and Shahi Tukra.
All our friends enjoyed the food; quantity was more than sufficient. each and every item was warm, fresh and delicious and not expensive either. It cost me the same when I compared the rates with other places.
I think Zeerah is a good addition to Mississauga. Posted on June 27, 2011 |

★★★★★ I am very much impressed with the quality and taste of food at Zeerah. I have tried their almost all the dishes and I found each and every item delicious.
Especially the NIhari, Haleem, Brain Masala, Bun Kababs, Shami Kababs, Naans, Bihari Kababs and kabab rolls are truly worth eating.
As far as the pricing goes, I dont think they are pricey.
I would recommend all who like to have good food must try Zeerah. Posted on June 17, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Great brain masala. Decent seekh kebabs. Small roghni naans. Haleem and Nihari were decent. Overall good food. Mainly a takeout place. Posted on May 29, 2011 |

★★★★★ My husband is a food lover and that is why I am a good cook. Always look out to try good food and try recipes.
One of our friends, a couple of months ago, got catering done from this new food take-out called Zeerah. In the menu there was Biryani. Qorma, seekh kababs, Ch. Karahi, tandoori naan and Kheer.
I must say that the food was so good that my husband asked the hosts to make a doggy bag so that we can eat the next day.
Next day was Sunday; in the evening we enjoyed Qorma, Biryani and seekh kababs with tandoori Naan ( I was amzed to see that after warming up the naans in the toaster it tasted like fresh).
We decided, on Monday, to go at Zeerah and get some food. went there but found out that they closed on Mondays..... .
We visited there then on Friday and asked about the specialties of Zeerah from the gentleman at the counter ( later found out that he was the owner). He recommended Nihari, Haleem and Bun kababs. On that day we ordered Haleem and Bun Kababs.
Believe me you all, I am not exaggerating, that kind of Haleem I have never had in any other restaurant. The Bun Kababs were so good it reminded me the old days of my college.
Since than we all are regular customers of Zeerah and we have tried all of the items. We love thier Nihari, Haleem, Bihari Kababs, Beef boti, Naan, specially made Karachi Karahi ( you need to order it first; it is the best Karahi), Bun Kababs and Kabab rolls and ohh I forgot the Samosas.
I definitely recommend Zeerah to all of my friends, relatives and to the community at large; this is The Place all the food lovers were waiting for.

★★★☆☆ Good food, zeerah has some authentic dishes that i have never heard or seen before. Its good to see some more traditional food being made available to latter generations here. Posted on April 26, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Slaam un Alaikum, brothers and sisters. I would like to begin by thanking Zabihah.com for the service they have been providing all of these years. It is obvious that a lot of Muslims use this site not only to find halal restaurants anymore, but I think people are using it like a Zagat or Yelp for Muslims. Masha Allah, this site has grown and has become an influence on the way Muslims dine. This could be the next Michelin Guide Rouge sans vin.
For those of you who are not familiar with the history I have with this particular restaurant, please, scroll back and refer to my post from the end of last month. Now that you are caught up, I can continue. Today around noon or just before, Mr. Masroor called and asked for me by name, he introduced himself as the owner of Zeerah and reminded me of the incident that took place in the final days of October. He apologized for the whole situation and assured me that what had taken place that night was not common practice at Zeerah. The gentleman on the phone even related a personal anecdote to me about an instance where he left food outside for a latecomer, after closing time, trusting them to pay the next day. After apologizing profusely on behalf of the restaurant, the staff and himself, as the owner he put forth a gesture to win back my business. Mr. Masroor invited me to have dinner on him this evening. I accepted his apology and decided to give him a chance to redeem himself and his restaurant.
Around 6:30 I called Mr. Masroor, and asked to make sure if his offer was valid for this evening, he assured me that it was and told me not to worry about a thing when I asked for the total price. I placed the same order I had the night of the previous incident; 3 orders of beef kabob (2 pcs/ order), 3 orders of chicken kabob (2 pcs/ order), 2 orders of chicken biryani, 5 pcs of tandoori chicken legs and 6 pcs naan. I informed the gentleman that I would be arriving between 7pm and 7:15. I got there at 7:16pm, and let the man behind the counter know that I was there to pick up an order. The owner had left by this time, but the staff was helpful enough. My brother and I waited for about 10 minutes before we were sent on our way with the food. In the mean time we witnessed at least 3 people who were ahead of us, pick up and take away food and about 7 more orders were placed, in the short time we were there. I must say, I was pleased to see the frequency of business. The man behind the counter handed us our food, as we made a final count to ensure that everything was accounted for, and instead of asking for money he offered one last apology. I smiled, thanked him and left.
This is the review I should have posted a week ago. Let's start with the high points and work our way to the areas that could be improved upon. I should also mention that I am a very seasoned eater and my lack of posts on this site does not mean that I am not well versed in the language of food. I consider myself a serious gastrophile/ foodie and just because I think something could be improved upon, doesn't mean that you shouldn't eat it. It just means that in my travels, I have had the same thing, somewhere else, better executed. In my opinion, it is not worth my money to pay for food that I can cook and present better myself and I can cook better than a lot of restaurants. In all fairness this is by no means a fine dining restaurant, it is a takeaway counter with a kitchen in the back. I will be reviewing this place at the level of a takeaway style establishment.
The best things we tried were probably the tandoori chicken legs and the beef kabobs. I watched them pack our chicken just as it came off the grill, so I knew it was fresh and wouldn't be dried out. Yes, even legs can get dried out if they are prepared too much in advance of the order, some places even let them sit under a heat lamp or they'll reheat previously cooked chicken, which is unacceptable. Zeerah did not give me previously cooked chicken, it was fresh and tasted good. The spices were well considered, fragrant and appetising. The beef kabob was good too, grilled well; not over-cooked and a nice char on the outside. They were spiced and seasoned well too. The chicken biryani was good, masala is well concocted but could use a little heat. I liked that there were big chunks of tomato and pieces of potato in it, as well as a fair, chicken to rice ratio, unlike most places. My younger sister really like the biryani and she is a picky eater. I think a few fried and salted, whole green chillies and a sprig or two of cilantro to garnish each takeaway container would have been a nice touch.
The naan was god enough, but not my favourite; it was a little chewy and stretchy for my liking. Still, better than some places, but there is better naan to be had in the GTA and even within Mississauga. The lowest point would have to be the chicken Kabob, it was just okay; not great, but not bad either. They were cooked well; maybe it was the prep cook who missed something. The seasoning was a little bit off, not enough salt and the spice selection could benefit from some depth as well. Because of my lack of a domestic tandoor, I would not be able to produce naan at all so, aside from the chicken kabob, all items were just as good as or better than I would have been able to prepare myself.
I will definitely return to Zeerah to sample the rest of their menu as a paying customer. I would like to thank Mr. Masroor for taking time to call me personally and invite me back. As far as takeaway counters are concerned this one is good. Zeerah easily attains a passing grade and with some tweaking of spice blends and menu choices it could attain superiority. There is definitely potential in this little establishment and I am inclined to believe that the incident that I described in my previous post, was an isolated instance. I would recommend Zeerah, to anyone that wants to pick up a nice dinner on the way home and doesn't have time to cook or someone who just feels like ordering takeout but doesn't want fake processed food products. Zeerah is a good choice and relatively healthy, also not too expensive, most items on the menu are under $10.00. Posted on January 9, 2011 |

★★★★★ For a small takeaway they are have a variety of dishes. Food is nice and average price is $8 per dish and the quantity is not very North American. No seating area which is a pity. Posted on October 20, 2010 |
