★★★☆☆ Small spot serving quasi authentic Afghan cuisine. I wasn't impressed with the chicken kabab--it had no taste. Slightly on the expensive side. Posted on December 25, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ I called beforehand and was told the meat was halal. Food was good but very expensive. The service was not great at all. The waiter seemed to have a mean mug, and we were looked at differently because we wore casual clothing (I thought it was a casual place before going in. And the menu says bring your own beer and wine to dine, but I saw the waiter bring out some wine and champagne for himself and some people he appeared to know well. ...WTF???!!! Don't think I'll ever eat there again. Kinda makes me wonder then if the meat was, in fact, halal. Posted on December 20, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ A small restaurant, food was ok, ive had better afghan food in the UK, service was little slow. Posted on June 24, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ I worked around that area and had ordered take-out twice. The food is average. I had ordered the mixed kabobs..The chicken tasted a bit bland. Expected it to be a bit more flavorful. The price was fair for restaurant situated in Hells Kitchen. Wasn't as expensive as some other Afghani restaurants in Queens but I guess that makes up for the quality. Posted on May 22, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ this place isn't that great. food was horrible. i think there are better options out there for afghan places. Posted on February 24, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Service was decent and the food was okay, but I was just shocked that they did not have Chapli Kabob or Mantu and they called themselve an Afghan restaurant. The setting and decorations were nice-----only problem is the area is really narrow..........Overall a decent place.... Posted on July 13, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ I live in the area and have been to this place a few times. The good news is the owner is Muslim and assured me the food is halal. Unfortunately every time I've eaten their food the rice was dry, the chicken bland, and the helpings small. In terms of food quality I would not recommend this place. Posted on April 19, 2009 |

★★★★☆ I had the combo Kebab and it was excellent. You pay Manhattan prices (same food can be had in Queens for almost half the price) but if you're looking to dine around here it's still the best (and pretty much only) Halal option in the Hells Kitchen area. Service was quite fast and cordial. Seating is limited so be prepared to possibly wait. Posted on February 5, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Had ordered from here expecting to get purely Afghani food, but food seemed to be a little on the paki side. Nonetheless, it was still good, and everyone liked it. Posted on November 7, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ We stumbled across another Afghan Kebab House on 46th btwn 6th and 7th Avenue. Good food (great lamb chops), service was ok, nice decor, decent prices, food could have been presented a bit better though. Posted on April 10, 2004 |

★★★★☆ Very enjoyable resturant that is not far from Manhattan for out-of-towners like myself. I was pleasently surprised and would not hesitate going back.
I had the ground and chunk meat kababs, eggplant dip (not like the persian style for you Iranians out there but still good), yogurt, and the yogurt drink. Posted on May 18, 2003 |

★★★★★ All the meat entries are excellent, but avoid vegetarian dishes completely. I tried once: the dish seemed decade old and was smelly. Posted on December 1, 2002 |

★★★★★ "This is the place to go for great Afghani food with a Pakistani touch. It is conveniently located near Columbia University at 102nd and Broadway. Their chicken kebab is probably the best dish on the menu. The aushak is great if you want something with a different and not so spicy flavor. And be sure to ask for the ""special"" coffee after your meal. The owner makes it himself and it's great. (and I don't even like coffee!)." Posted on September 27, 2001 |
