The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status. All Popeyes restaurants in Ontario, Canada serve Halal products, though as of 2011, the chain has shifted from a certified hand-slaughtered supplier to a certified machine-slaughtered one, as confirmed by Popeye's corporate headquarters. Restaurants confirm that everything is halal and that all ingredients are different to their US stores (i.e., all gravy and sauces are halal).

★★★☆☆ You can't beat this greasy goodness.
They have halal certificates available. They show you a binder of all of the certifications that they have. Which is very impressive. Normal fast food place a bit outside of the Niagra Falls area in Dundy. In a strip mall with a desi grocery store as well as a Lebanese restaurant.
We had assorted fried chicken, a combination of the spicy and regular. The fried chicken was ok. We also had chicken fingers which is something that we really liked. They also offer an assortment of sauces which was a plus. We had the sweet chilli sauce which we really liked.
Cajun fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like any french fry should be.
If you're in the area and you want the novelty of eating Popeye's Go for it! Posted on September 6, 2017 |

NR Can't rate it because as soon as I got there and I asked if it was halal, the guy told me it was halal but machine slaughter....so I told him thanks for the info. I really do appreciate the honesty. Good 2 mile walk from my hotel, but alhumdulilah, at least me n my wife got the exercise Posted on July 9, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ The first time we came here we were so excited, we had never been to a halal popeyes before! The food was good, but the service could have been much better. There were only 2 workers, so it was very hard to get things like napkins and some ketchup. The workers also didn't seem very nice. The next day we went again and we tried the cajun chicken sandwich ( you must try this). It was very good and it was a good price because it was the special of the day. And the service was much better the second day. If you want some halal popeyes go here for sure! Posted on July 30, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ We went to Popeye's last Tuesday for Dinner. The service & food was good. The store was busy but we did not have to wait long. After reading some of the reviews here we expected to find a trashed dining area but it was not so. The only trash we found was that left behind by inconsiderate customers. ★★★☆☆ Nice to have another halal option but downside is the owner is cheap when it comes to supplies such as napkins, ketchup, sauces, etc. There were 11 people and we only got 4 napkins n 4 ketchups n wen asked for more gotten hand just one. Other comment is they are understaffed with only one person in the kitchen n one taking orders. Posted on June 3, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ It's a chain so obviously the food quality and tast will be similar to any other Popeyes but one this is worth mentioning, i.e. "DIRTY".
When I went there on July 2nd, the place was filthy and so were the rest rooms. I do not know if there is a misconception that "if a restaurant is halal, it will run no matter what"...
Please people, do consider hygene when you pick up a restaurant to go and eat. I would rather eat vegetarian or fruits then to go to a dirty restaurant.
Not at all recommended Posted on July 13, 2011 |

★★★★☆ We've made it a tradition to pick up the Spicy Chicken Sandwich for the ride back to the US. It is great to find a Halal Popeyes this close to the border and this close to Niagara Falls.
Food was great but I had to knock off one star for the really slow service. Posted on August 11, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Ok! . We were excited to find a place in Niagara that serves halal fried chicken. The taste of the chicken was average and not bad. Wings were just ok. Nothing to lose sleep over. But the most significant issues were:
1) Exteremely poorly kept restrooms. No soap, and NO Kitchen rolls to wipe hands either.
2)Under-staffed. This lead to long delays in service. They dont seem to care either. Posted on August 2, 2010 |

★★★★☆ A 5-minute drive from the Falls, the food was good and the staff was very accommodating. A group of 10 of us were there at Maghrib time, and they offered us a place to pray in the back room which was very nicely setup for prayers. Posted on July 12, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ The staff were polite, but the service was a bit slow, and food wasn't as good as the location in Toronto. Location is good though, very near to Niagara Falls and perfect for anyone looking for halal fast food. Posted on August 28, 2008 |

★★☆☆☆ Popeyes? What can I say? I've been to Popeyes in Scarborough, Brampton, and of course, this outlet. Like the other Popeye's outlets, the fried chicken pieces are, from my experience, under-cooked and very oily. I've ordered pieces a few times and am not really satisfied with the quality. Of the chicken productes served, I like the chicken sandwiches. With regard to service, it's in typical halal business fashion - BAD. It's as if they don't need the business. Typically, the counter staff would ignore patrons - sorting out the drinking straws and napkins while people wait in the sweltering heat (this branch is apparently non-aircondioned). When the staff finally get around to you they treat you like your're inconveniencing them in some way (tone of voice, body language). Muslims who chose to eat 'halal' and have a very limited choice with regard to fast food. Many (but not all) 'halal' restaurant operators seem to realize this and take the opportunity to serve the Muslim consumer in the worst possible way. God help them is Wendy's or KFC get on the Halal band wagon. Posted on August 25, 2007 |

★★★★★ Friendly staff. Excellent food. Assured us that everything including the gravy was %100 percent halal. Lots of menu choices. Didn't take long to prepare the food but it was a quiet season (December) when we visited. Definitely recommended. Posted on December 24, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Good food. Before we used to visit the falls, but nothing was to be found in terms of halal food. Alhamdulillah, there is something halal to eat in this area now. Posted on September 8, 2006 |

★☆☆☆☆ I enjoy Popeye's Chicken.
BUT the Lundy's Lane location, gets a VERY VERY POOR RATING, we purchased a take out bucket, after the first couple of pieces. One of our guests mentioned the WINGS tasted FUNNY. Sure enough they were BAD. This spoiled the entire meal. No one would. I shortly after took the bucket right back (We bought the largest one). Mentioned to the management that something was wrong with this bucket (in privacy). He offered me a refund for that ONE bad wing. I mentioned to him that one will eat out of this bucket anylonger and I want my ENTIRE MONEY BACK. After many minutes (15 plus) he returned... said YOUR PEOPLE (I'm assuming Muslism... as he too looks like one) are ALL CROOKED and will do this to a struggling business.
I told him, I am CANADIAN BORN AND RAISED, and whether this is a HALAL food or not, you product is bad, and I can report you to the Ministry. If the wings weren't bad everyone would have enjoyed the meal, and I would return in the future for more. BUT after this conduct, I will ensure that all hear my experience with you. He finally refunded my money and I haven't returned. Over a year.
I still frequent Popeye establishments, in Brampton, Markham, Mississauga, but we live near the lundy's lane one, and refuse to help someone surving rotten food successed.
Yours Truly.

★★★★★ GREAT FOOD AT GREAT PRICING!!! I discovered it this year thanks to zabihaha.com and I must say that the food is excellent. It is aunthentic Popeye's and it is HALAL. The prices are very good considering it is a franchise. It is about 15 minutes away from the falls located on Lundy's Lane. Not hard to find because as soon as you go on Lundy's Lane, keeop going straight and you will see it on your right. Service was a little slow, but thats because the food is fresh and they make is as you order it. I reccomend everyone go there to eat. It is much better than those Pakistani restaurants in that area. ★★★☆☆ It's Popeye's, and it's halal! What else is there to say? The location is a bit of a drive from the Falls (compared to some other halal options in the area), but if you want halal fast food, it's a good, clean restaurant with ample seating. A nice option for Muslims living in or passing through the Falls. Posted on December 26, 2004 |
