★★☆☆☆ My husband and I were very disappointed with this place. With all the positive reviews, we were at least expecting "average." I did not even consider this food to be edible. I ordered lamb kebabs and they were greasy and overcooked, seemed to be deep fried which basically ruined some beautiful cuts of lamb that could have been delicious. The smell of grease was too overpowering for me, I could not eat it. My husband got the beef shawarma, and it was equally disappointing...there are much better places on Jimmy Carter to get shawarma (like Madina market). The rice wasn't even worth saving. We heard them microwaving the bread right before our order came out, and it was thick and inauthentic pita bread with a store-bought feel. The cook seemed to be young, not sure if it was their usual cook. Sorry, but there are way too many (better) halaal options in the area to bother here. Posted on November 3, 2013 |

★★★★★ Excellent!
Service is great. Place is clean. Menu has plenty of options.
We tried their buffet and it was great.
Especially the sweet dish with nuts and custard was amazing.
Make sure to try their "paya" and "nihari". Posted on January 1, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Nice place, nice food. Very reasonable prices. $5 for biryani plate that was good. $4 for chicken leg piece tikka that was hot straight from the ovan with fresh smell of coal just like we used to eat in Lahore. This is the best chicken tikka I have ever eaten in USA. Posted on December 28, 2010 |

★★★★★ This place was GREAT! I am West African and the food tasted like it was from my country. I could relate and appreciated the complex flavor and spices. This place was clean and simple and the service was great. The lady at the counter was incrediably helpful. She took the time to explain everything on the buffet-what the food was made of, and even gave us a little bit of history. I really felt like I'd gone to another country. Also, I am not a meat eater at all because I just don't like the way its generally prepared. But the Lamb and the Liver was greate. They always had freash naan bread. the service was on point. The deserts are lacking but you can go some were else for desert. The only thing I would warn is when you go to pay do not eat the "bird" seeds they have at the register. Its horrible. But besides that I would give this restaurant four stars. Posted on November 24, 2010 |
Thank you for the appreciation. We hope to serve you again and give you that "homey" feeling. Those "bird seeds" are actually fennel seeds which are good for digestion and many people in South Asia eat that after a meal. I can totally understand everybody does not have a taste for it. |

★★★★☆ I don't like to rush into write a bad or good review so after trying this restaurant quiet a few times, I must say
the restaurant has nice, decent and clean environment. I never had any complaints about the food not being fresh but fresh food requires some time so you have to wait a little bit. I have ordered different items and never had any problems with taste. Posted on November 12, 2010 |

NR I had worst experience in my life.
I went to Buffet on sunday. The food was stale and kabobs were smelling bad. All the food was serve cold. The sevice was very poor. There was no naan and puri on the buffet side. Everytime we had ask them for puri Posted on November 8, 2010 |
I really apologize for the bad experience you had at our restaurant. The food is made fresh for the buffet unlike other restaurants who get rid of their leftovers in the name of "buffet". We never keep naan in the buffet as they are meant to be fresh from the tandoor oven. And that is usually done while the customers are filling up their plates. Kababs are grilled fresh as well for the buffet. There is a open window space in the kitchen on purpose for the customer to see that the kababs are being grilled fresh for them. Yes for the puri, there might have been a delay in the service, as they were supposed to be a lot of it in the buffet already. But I am glad you enjoyed them fresh, even though they were late. On last note, I assume you are the lady who is just aggravated at your over-aged child being charged for the buffet (for which I have witnesses to prove, other than my employees). You are just misguiding my prospective customers by saying bad things about my food. I would have appreciated if you would have said the actual thing. I have customers coming over from other states just for my food. It's my open challenge not only to you but to everyone who reads this message, that whoever gets the type of food (cold food, stale food, bad smelling kababs) which is described by "Hik9454", I will not charge a single cent for the buffet they eat. I am open to criticism at all times but it should be straight-forward. |

★★★★☆ This is located in the same strip mall as mughals
The afghan menu was good however the pakistani/chinese menu was lacking
The only issue is there is a night club next door so b careful in the evening time, this neighboorhood is anyway crime ridden Posted on September 22, 2010 |
Thank you so much for the appreciation and we are working hard to accommodate everyone's requests in the menu. Please feel free to send us your suggestions/comments at bbqtonite@att.net |
