★★★★★ We have tried Manakeesh Cafe because of recommendation from my friends. Halal sign was clear at the entrance. We were five people and tried different platters. The platters size were larger than the ones typically served in other restaurants. The food was very good. I liked the design. It was a popular place with many people on a sunday lunch time. After lunch, we tried some deserts from bakery section. the desert was nice. The place was clean compared to most of the other halal restaurants I have tried. It might be a little more expensive than the other places but I believe it is worth paying little extra for service quality and food. We are planning to visit this place again if we come back to Philly again. Posted on July 16, 2017 |

★★☆☆☆ I would have rated this restaurant 4 or 5 stars, were it not for the bad attitude of the guy at the cash register. I stood in a line behind 2 other people to order take take out, but when these people were done, the guy behind the counter just walked away. I waited more than 5 minutes for him to return and in the meantime the line behind me grew quite long. When he did return, he told me to move aside because the people behind me wanted to pay. I moved aside and he took payment from 7 individual customers and chatted with each one of them as he was processing their payments. I then asked him if I could place an order and he again told me to wait and called somebody from the back of the line to pay. Thereafter he took my order and told me it will be ready in 20/25 minutes. I asked him for a receipt when he handed me my change and he said it is too late because I should have asked for the receipt when I handed him the money.
Anyways, the BBQ chicken pizza I bought was average and the guys who baked the pizza were friendly when they handed it to me. I probably will not return to this place because there is much better service available at many other restaurants in the area. Posted on October 3, 2015 |

★★★★★ Food was delicious, a little bit late but delicious. The ambiance is nice for a family dinner, not super fancy but nice to have a meal with family/friends. Very clean and spacious. Posted on April 26, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Bakhlava was really good. Food was also good but the service was slow and mainly because this can get very crowded at times. I would come back but probably on a week day. I give it four stars because we ordered chicken soup and they gave us the lentil soup (which is basically dal) without even asking us if its okay. And when we asked the lady about it she said well the other soup isn't fresh. So overall, I would recommend this and definitely try the bakhlava. Posted on April 22, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ We went there for dinner recently the place is ok, five minutes after we got there it got crowded. It was our first time there, I took shawarma sandwich, we took one shish taouk and one beef manakeesh and a beef shawarma plater.
There was something wrong with the spices they use, I am not a picky person and I would eat almost anything if I am hungry. I couldn't finish the sandwich ( I make a better shawerma at home) . The chicken manakeesh were horrible no one could eat it even my kids took just a bite and they were done.
The ground beef one was much better, I would give it 4 stars
The plater came with plain rice! The hummus was good and the salad was just ok, the beef that came with it was below average.
The manager was nice and checked on us several times, the staff are friendly
Did not try the crepe part or the cocktails or the sweets.
I will not go again and I ll not recommend it. Posted on December 26, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I think it is one of the most modren style halal cafe in philadelphia with an excellent atmosphere. The mankeesh, creps, sandwiches and cocktails are excilent. The grilled kabob platters are very good. Specialy kabsa rice.
They should add fattoush salad to their menu. Posted on August 16, 2013 |

★★★★★ Love everything about the place, service is good, place is clean, and beautifully decorated. The pizzas were good, had an iced coffee called the Beirut or something like that, and a pastry that was called tiramisu which didn't resemble the traditional dessert, but tasted like it. Great experience, will definitely be going there again! Posted on August 2, 2012 |
