★★★★★ We really love this place. Kids love their chicken biryani as we can get it in all type of spice level. Their Jabaneh is also great served hot. Nice small place with a very friendly staff. Posted on May 20, 2023 |

★★★☆☆ I think the food is pretty good but i have to say it is not great. The chicken tikka was nice and moist but the spices used were the typical boxed tandoori spices out of a Shan masala box. The rice quality was good not great. The prices are decent though not cheap and the portion sizes are relatively small. The staff and owner are very friendly and that always makes a dining experience special. Posted on June 4, 2014 |

★★★★★ One of my favorite places in the South Bay. Small place, very friendly owner, amazing food. Love the combo biryani! Wish we had more places like this in Bay Area! Posted on May 29, 2014 |

★★★★★ Excellent chicken tikka biryani and mixed plate biryani. Really different from the standard definition of biryani and amazingly delicious! I tried the Chapli kabab once and it was great too. Chicken samosas are ginormous and very tasty too! The owner is also a great host. Very kind. Posted on May 29, 2014 |

★★★★★ I visit San Jose often for business travel and this restaurant was referred to me by a friend of mine. The food is 100% zabiah Halal. The brother who is running the restaurant is an amazing person and very welcoming. Now to the main point ***FOOD***... i loved each and everything they server from Chicken Tikka Biryani to Chapli Kabob. If you are in the area definitely try this place. Posted on December 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ Alhumdulillah the food here was outstanding. We had the chicken sandwich, biryana mixed plate, zaatar with jebnel and samosas. And even the rice pudding dessert was awesome. Best of all was the customer service. A . Posted on November 19, 2013 |

★★★★★ I have no idea how I missed this Resturaunt in my 2 year stay in the Bay Area. This is little off the way (8 miles) from Cisco campus for me but worth visiting. Authentic Kabab, chicken and unlike most restaurants they serve with biryani rice. Above all, unlike ethnic restaurants, owner/manager has phenomenal service attitude. Posted on October 14, 2013 |

★★★★★ One of the very few restaurants that deserve 5 stars and repeat customers. We have been there twice so far and will go back again and again. The food is absolutely delicious, both times I ordered Chicken Tikka Biryani and husband ordered chapli kabob. Their Chicken tikka biryani is wayy to good. I generally don't like chapli kabob, but theirs was the bomb, it had the right amount of all the spices to make it perfect. The owner is sooper nice, and he goes out of his way to make sure customer is happy. I high recommend this place to everyone. Posted on September 10, 2013 |

★★★★★ We tried Chicken Samosa, Chicken Biryani and Chicken Sandwich at this place. They were all super delicious. The owner is extremely nice and makes an effort to satisfy the customer. We will definitely return to this place.
I would highly recommend trying the Chicken Samosa and Sandwich. Posted on March 17, 2013 |

★★★★★ Before even going to the quality of the food, I want to mention that I would probably return there just because of the excellent behavior of the person who manages it. Not only was he very courteous, he also proactively told us whenever he felt we were ordering too much!
The biriyani was awesome. Usually, I am not a big fan of biriyani in Pakistani/Afghan restaurants. But this place was DIFFERENT. There were two kinds of biriyani - chickhen tikka vs. the regular one I think. The owner recommended the tikka one but he realized from my expression that I was conflicted and wanted to try the other one too. So he proposed that he will mix them up - half will be Chicken tikka and half will be the other one :).
He also added nice salad with the biriyani.
The only thing about the biriyani was probably that the amount of meat was slightly less in proportion to the rice. I asked the owner about it and he nicely explained that since he uses organic chicken that are hand slaughtered, he cannot afford to be too generous with the meat amount. His explanation sounded 100% valid to me.
The chicken sandwich was great as well. I will get it again. Posted on January 19, 2013 |

★★★★★ I'm came for my training from gulf and its hard to find Halal resturants that do not serve alcahol. so allhumudallah i managed to find this place online and my hotel staff also recommend it. The food is great. Everything is in balanced propotion. The biryani is rich in flovour and cripsy elements and the mint chatniy is added value with it. the place is clean and pure halal. the owners made me feel just like home and that made my trip worth a million since i was away from my family. its above excellent. don't forget to try out the chicken somosa. ★★★★★ I went to this place today after reading wonderful reviews and I must say it was an excellent experience.
The restaurant was extremely clean, we were greeted by the owner in the most pleasant way one can imagine, Ordered chicken sandwich and chicken biryani, the food came quick, it was warm, fresh, tasted good and the huge portions.I by mistake took my bottled water with me and usually owners do not like it but the owner is such a nice man, he asked me if i want a glass for it to drink, also since the portion size was so big, we had to pack half of it and he was asking if we want more raita with biryani :) sweet man!
I will definitely go back to this place and will recommend people to also try this small eatery. Posted on September 9, 2012 |

★★★★★ I love the food here and the owner is a really nice guy mashallah. He recommended a new dish for me and it was really good. The ground kabobs are yummy and the biryani is one of my favorites (comes with chicken and these delicious crunchy things all mixed up). I will be going here many times more. Portions are reasonable foe the prices an you'll be glad to have leftovers to eat for dinner. Posted on July 20, 2011 |

★★★★★ This place is really nice. Although the seating is somewhat limited the seating and ambiance is really nice with good decor. Service is spectacular, the owner and staff are really friendly, and their food is delicious. I had the chicken sandwich which was cooked well and tasted great. The owner was even courteous to ask me weather or not they should make it spicy. This is a really nice place and I look forward in coming back here. Posted on January 2, 2010 |

★★★★★ Nice food, clean surroundings and decent prices. Parking can be a challenge though. Wish they would open a location in the Santa Clara area. The owner is Imam Umar, one of the nicest and friendliest people in the community. Posted on July 16, 2009 |

★★★★★ My wife and I had just arrived in San Jose and were starving so we logged onto Zabiahah.com and found this place. WE LOVED IT. We ordered the Chicken Tikka and Beef Kabob Plates. We also had the best Samosa ever. These were so Spicy. Afterwards we ordered some Masala Tea and could not believe how good it was!! Posted on January 13, 2009 |

★★★★★ I heard of this place on yelp and all the reviews were so positive that I was tempted to try it the very next day and I did! Masha-Allah! The food was excellent and Mr Imam who runs the place is very friendly and well known in the community. I tried the Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Samosa and Baklava. Everything were excellent. I got take out and the food was packed very neatly. I am usually very picky about eating chicken at restuarants and I could tell that the meat was fresh and good quality. I plan to be a regular here Insha-Allah and look forward to trying their Biryani and Zaatar manakesh. Posted on April 29, 2008 |

★★★★★ When it comes to food, I tend to be very very picky, and it’s very hard for me to find a place that I really like. I had to try this Indo-Pakistani place because my best friend recommended it, and I am in love with the Beef kabab sandwich, and I’ve been eating it almost every day. I haven’t tasted anything like it, the spices, the quality of the meat, the fresh vegetables and the fresh handmade French-like bread, it’s to die for! After I liked the beef sandwich I asked the owner Mr. Imam to try almost all the items they have, and the Biriany rice with chicken is great too, and the samosas are the BEST! I also love the Lebanese pastries/pizzas they have. Oh, and I can’t forget about the pudding dessert that you can’t have enough of!
I just love the food in this place, and the owner is such a great religious person that cares for the quality of the food himself and takes a pride of it. Keep up the good work Gulzaar! Posted on February 13, 2008 |

★★★★☆ This place is under new ownership and is now called, "Gulzaar Halal Restaurant and Bakery". They still serve Lebanese Manakesh, but also serve Indo-Pakistani food along with Sandwiches/Wraps. I had the Beef Kabab Sandwich which was very good, along with the Zaatar with Jebneh, which was good too. Fast and very friendly service. Owner is a well known Muslim. Posted on January 14, 2008 |
