HALAL SUMMARY
This restaurant has been reported to be halal by our readers but is still unverified.
★★☆☆☆ We decided to try Perspolis Restaurant because we heard it was a halal place. We also found a review of the restaurant in the Swindon Advertiser and agreed that it would be a good place to eat, but what a disappointment! The Restaurant was expensive, food was average and portions were very small.
We ordered a mixture of starters including Shirazi salad (£2.50) with chopped onion, cucumber, tomato and olive, but when it arrived the olives were missing and the portion size was a disgrace.
For mains we ordered Koobideh (two skewers of minced lamb, grilled tomato and rice) and Joojeh (one skewer of chicken fillet, gilled tomato and rice). Considering they cost £6 and £7 respectively, the portions were not generous compared to comparable places in Swindon.
Whilst the place was clean and well decorated we won’t be dining there again. The food did not live up to the bill. Posted on May 16, 2010
