NR Their coffee is always so weak and overly milky (i'm a latte drinker); I never experience that rich taste and sharp smell that you should get from a good quality coffee. Posted on July 14, 2011

NR We went to the Coffe Max last month. We felt food was off poor quality, starters were not what we ordered, soup was bland and the cheese croutons had turned into burnt strips off onion and the jelly ordered over 4 weeks ago for the children was not available. There was a hair in the food and dirty cutlery. Did make a complaint but as expected no one cares as long as they get money why should they.. ★☆☆☆☆ The food is terrible (but cheap). I only eat there when I need something quickly because the shop is conveniently located. Their attempts at healthy food are laughable, and it is overpriced for what you get. The shop is generally filthy because it is always busy and full of screaming kids. ★★★☆☆ After reading previous reviews was expecting good things from this place. Decor wasn't great and felt cramped. Starters were poor but mains were very good and well portioned. ★★★★☆ Am a regular here and food and service consistently good. They have baby highchairs and changing facilities. Recommend booking for Friday/Saturday evenings. Mocktails are a little pricey and food is not cheap but good quality so you don't mind paying. Staff attentive and friendly. Would recommend as well established place. Posted on June 23, 2009

★★★★☆ Nice Italian place. Have had coffee and cake here aswell as some food - tried the lamb shank which was actually very very tasty. Decor is nice, service is good, price is reasonable and atmosphere is friendly - would recommend. Edit: Have heard that they have halved portions here now, so prices may be a little dear.
