Bosphorus Turkish Cuisine is a family owned business, established in 2005, that offers variety of authentic Turkish food from many regions of Turkey. Bosphorus Turkish Cuisine adapted its name from one of the oldest cities in the world, Istanbul, which was once known as the Constantinople in the early 13th century. The name Bosphorus was taken from the strait that lies in the center of Istanbul connecting the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara, Europe to Asia. Doved and Tammy Sexter assumed ownership of Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine in 2009, retaining many of the original chefs that helped open the restaurant in 2005. Paying special attention to authenticity, Doved and Tammy have seamlessly transitioned Bosphorous into the household name that it is today. Added on January 20, 2012 and last updated 10 years ago

★★★★★ Really good Turkish food. Ambience was nice too. Gets really busy on weekends so having reservation is best. We tried mixed grill platter which was good for two people, hummus, falafel and lavish bread. Everything was delicious Posted on January 3, 2015 |

★★★★★ This is one of the best located halal (or partially halal) restaurants in Orlando. You can go for a walk on cobble stoned Park ave or a boat ride through the 3 lakes in one of the most expensive areas in Orlando and come for a nice lunch or dinner at Bosphorous. Both this and their Dr. Philips locations only serve partial halal menu (chicken is not halal). Unfortunately there aren't a lot of fine dining halal restaurants in Orlando. They can substitute the chicken on the mixed grill plate with halal lamb or beef if you like. The food is very good though and unlike most fine dining places the portion sizes are good. ★☆☆☆☆ VERY DISSAPOINTED. only lamb is halal...the lamb didnt even taste good it wasnt even cooked properly. The restaurant was swarming with food flies. Anatolia was amazing, this place was nothing in comparison. Im sad that Anatolia sold their place to Bosphorous. I wont be going here again. I used to love the mix grill and the fact that i had so many options to choose from before. I personally dont think this place will last...they have to live up to Anatolia and they cant.. ★☆☆☆☆ The restaurant was owned by Turks a while ago. Now the owners are perhaps nonmuslim. Their menu is not halal I believe. Posted on April 20, 2012 |
Can someone confirm this for us? We will look into it as well. |

★☆☆☆☆ Not full hall as described, visited to try full halal but the manager said only lamb is halal, which I doubt, not a place if you are after halal food! Posted on April 1, 2012 |
