★★★★☆ Nice place with very hospitable owner. He himself told us which foods are not halal (only chicken tandoori was not halal that day). He was also generous enough to bring generous portions for Iftar. The food was very good but the chef somehow tried to make the food spicy by simply sprinkling the red pepper on it. ★★★☆☆ This is a typical Indian restaurant that mixes halal and haram. I was a little bit annoyed because the buffet had only one halal item, so I ordered from menu, and even on menu only some items were halal. At first it may seen pricey, but the chicken roll was large and came with dal ($9.99 or something total). It as tasty, service was very good. Serving alcohol is one thing and making the place look like a bar is another thing. I did not feel comfortable there at all. I will not go back again. Posted on April 15, 2010
