Arusuvai specializes in southern Indian cuisine. The name Arusuvai refers to the six tastes of Tamil cuisine, which is based on Ayurvedic principles: sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent. The cuisine is considered one of India’s spiciest. The menu sections cover soups, vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers and entrées (all meats are halal), plus curries, biryanis, and tandoor specialties. A grill section is really more about breads, and in fact, the paratha we tried ($2.95) was excellent, light and flaky.
