I visited this place on a Saturday at 2PM and it was closed with a sign saying that is is open from 9AM to 5PM on all days except Saturday. Also the sign said that on non-operational days (I assume Saturday included) it is open 15 minutes before prayer time and closes 15 minutes after.

Beautiful on the outside and inside. Plenty of community events. Parking is difficult during jummah.

I went to this masjid while I attened college> I felt it was very nice, people spoke to you if you gave salaams and it have a diverse atmosphere. The Imam at the time (1996) was very friendly. Its very clean and plenty of space for sisters.

I grew up attending this mosque, and can personally attest to their activism, professionalism, and progressive stands on issues. I can't think of another mosque that has had such a large impact on the greater American Muslim community than this one. This mosque had a majority of women on its board nearly two decades ago, and has had an independent youth group that manages to instill a well-balanced American Muslim identity. I credit this mosque for making me into the type of Muslim that I am today.
