Coming from the bay area where halal markets are a dime in a dz, this was a small jewel of a place I happened to stumble upon given the area. Cheaper than the bay...but variety does not compare to what I\'m accustomed to,however Alhamdulillah
Even though this is the biggest store - don't let the size fool you. Their service is not up to par at all and meat is most expensive in town. Meat is not handled well - they don't really cut the fat on the meat even if you emphasis for them to. The owner is not friendly. One time we ordered meat and then had an emergency and called to ask them to hold it until the next day to come pick up. The owner got very upset over the phone and told us not to bother ordering again. Later, because of convenience, we went back and the owner acted like nothing happened. We are happy that other, cheaper and friendlier places have opened close by.
I like the store because of its size, variety, and overall freshness of its products. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. however they need to be more conscious of how the meat is handled among their staff. chicken laid where beef is laid. once i went there and the guy handling the meat had a piece of gauze wrapped around his finger that was bleeding through :X I didnt have him get my stuff ya know. i am putting this down so they improve, i really do like the place and do shop there often still.
Honestly, the owner of this establishment is VERY rude, unprofessional, and uncaring - he is only out for his own benefit. If they make a mistake on your meat order or if they even sell you a calling card with no minutes...it doesn't matter - it's not every their fauly..its THE CUSTOMERS FAULT according to them. I think the other people who wrote positive reviews for this market are either the owners themselves or relatives. We should be thankful that Columbus now has MANY choices for halal meat and ethic groceries and we don't have to put up with such bad service as this place.
I absolutely love this store. The owners are curteous and professional. The prices are very affordable and the quality of the meat and produce is excellent. They always greet me with a smile and an open-heart. They are very helpful and are always welcoming to any suggestions. I shop there regularly and I would never trade this store for any other. They not only cater for their Arab custormers but they cater for most ethnicities. They always have the freshest meat, produce and bread that's baked right there at the store's bakery. The best in Central Ohio indeed.
Excellent meat quality. Reasonable prices. Good selection of other groceries that cater to many different ethnic tastes. I shop here regularly.
