Grill Kabob

This is a halal cafeteria-style chain restaurant located in the cavernous food court of the Montgomery Mall. The staff verified the food is entirely halal. The Montgomery Mall parking lot spans several acres, but there aren\'t too many corners to hide the 1989 Toyota MR2 Supercharged, so best leave it at home. This author tried the chicken kabob sandwich served with break, basmati rice, and \"salad ($11), which was on the better end of average for this American-standard kabob roll. The chick peas in sauce ($4, \"choley\" in South Asian parlance) were substandard -- remind yourself of over-oily off-flavor choley and you\'ll have the general idea. The samosas are great by mall food benchmarks but you wouldn\'t serve these to your guests at home. Overall a solid 3/5 stars performance for quality. And for evoking a moment of reflection on what it would mean to go to the mall to eat at a halal restaurant rising like a phoenix from the ashes of the Cheesecake Factory.

I've had the kabobs and gyros plenty of times. Gyros are the best choice here. It's great that there is a chain "mall" restaurant which is halal. Prices are great, service is great, and the best thing is you can do your shopping then enjoy 100% halal food.

The food is pretty good for a mall location. I didn' t see any halal signs, but the employees claim that it is halal. The gyros are good if you need some food on the run.

Just like their Dulles Town Center, Springfield Mall, and Tysons Corner Mall food court locations, this Grill Kabab location inside Montgomery Mall is very tasty and is run fairly efficiently. Food takes a while to make and is very expensive for food court type food, however it is tasty and worth it. The kubideh/chicken combo is the best deal. I was assured that all food served here is halal and there is also a halal sign by the register. I recommend this place.

There is no halal certification. Employees claim only meat is halal and cannot confirm zabiha halal. They do not want to discuss whether other food products are halal.
