According to the sign on the front of the store, the (Fried) Chicken is Halal and according to the Arab owner/manager, the Cheese Steak subs are also Halal. I usually get the Steak & Cheese Sub with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Green Peppers, Hot Peppers, and Mushrooms with a side of French Fries and a can of Soda. Both the sub and the fries taste excellent and they give you huge portions. I would confidently say that the sub and the fries at Chicken Basket are better than Pizza Roma's since the quality of P.R.'s subs and fries have gone down a little bit in the past couple times I've been there. The sub rolls are better and they don't burn them like P.R. does now occasionally and the fries are a lot better too because they put some Old Bay seasoning on them. One downside is that Chicken Basket is a little more expensive than Pizza Roma, but that's b/c they give you a larger portion-size than P.R. (I can barely finish half of the sub and the fries, so it's like a lunch and dinner meal). Another downside is that there isn't really that much space to sit down and eat there so it's more of a take-out or delivery place.

In the last few months, I have seen a lot of improvement in this place, a lot cleaner than ever before! they have done a lot of remolding, I took my family there for lunch recently, which I did not have the chance to do that before the remolding, for the lack of tables and chairs. The food was great, ingredients are fresh, we decided to go with the Lamb gyros and the steak and cheese subs, they are diffidently a must try. The place is run in a very organized manner, the Staff is helpful and always appreciate our business.

It's not very often you make your co-workers jealous when you bring back halal food to your desk. In this case, my co-workers hawked over my desk and upon scent of the chicken strip dinner box were immediately sold on the place. The chicken strip dinner came with fries at a reasonable price (under $10) and the portion was very filling. The food was so appealing my co-workers immediately placed their orders in over the phone and sent someone to pick it up. As a fair warning, this place is definitely a take-out only spot as mentioned by several other reviewers. It's in a suspicious shopping strip and can be hard to see from the road. A liqour store blocks immediate view of the restaurant from the road and initial reaction may make you think your taking a wrong turn. My advice would be to check google maps and use the street view to get an idea of where it is located.

The place was not as hard to find as I expected. It's right off the main road. I ordered the dark meat chicken and a cheese steak sub. The sub was delicious! Chicken was nice and crispy. Def. recommend it.

The place is a dumpy hidden lil store in a tiny strip mall behind a liquor store with no where to sit and limited parking. Other than that, the food is GREAT! For carry out, this is the place to go to. The food is VERY well priced but the taste, quality, and quantity are not lacking. The burgers and friend chicken are excellent. I'm sure the other stuff is too, but just haven't tried it.
