When my family visited Boston, my dad was excited to try out this restaurant as we passed by the mosque. Located right behind ISBCC, this place is always full with Somalis. The food was good, but the place needs a bit more cleaning. The chai was a bit too sweet for us.

For authentic Somali fare, you\'ve got to come to Anshur. It is run by very good people Masha Allah and you will certainly feel like you\'ve transported across continents due to the traditional atmosphere and spectacular food. The lamb shank with rice is probably their most popular item and you can substitute the rice for pasta for a change. Also don\'t forgot about their subs (particularly the steak and cheese), their incredibly cheap and delicious crispy french fries, and the requisite banana with each meal. One star off for lack of vegetarian options.

We landed here after Jummah prayer and the place was packed. Staff was super nice. We ordered boneless lamb / steak / chicken legs. Everything was seasoned well but not spicy. The rice was awesome. The portions are big. The only thing was no airconditioning which on this super hot day in July made it harder for us to enjoy our food but still we would definitely go back when in Boston again.

This place falls between average and poor. Tried the burger. It was barely OK. There are tons of other Halal options in the area for lunch.

The place is "okay". The American food (burgers) are the frozen grocery brands, I would not recommend. The Arabic dishes such as Tagine are okay but not the best. Overall, it's not a bad experience, and I do recommend this place especially if you have no kids.

This is the best restaurant I have been to in the Boston area! It might look like a hole in the wall, but the food is delicious and the service is great! While everything on the menu is great, I really recommend the goat curry. It is a Somalian delicacy and tastes delicious!

I've eaten here numerous times and, Alhamdulillah, am always satisfied. They serve Middle Eastern and American foods, as well as breakfast. The ISBCC often gets food catered from here for events. My personal favorites are the chicken kabobs, the biryani (very flavorful), and the steak bomb sandwich (awesome!) Alhamdulillah, the brothers that work here are extremely friendly and work hard to make sure that you are satisfied. My only complaint is that everytime I've gone they seem to be out of the buffalo chicken fingers (with 80+ things on the menu, though, it's definitely not hard to find something else you'd like). Keep up the great work, Inshallah!
